Course Description
Basic Carbine Class
The Basic Carbine Class is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of safe carbine operation and marksmanship. This course emphasizes firearm safety, proper handling, and responsible use while developing fundamental carbine shooting skills.
Instruction includes an overview of carbine types and components, ammunition selection, and safe storage practices. Participants receive hands-on instruction in proper stance, grip, stock placement, sight alignment and sight picture using iron sights and/or optics, trigger control, and basic shooting positions. The course also addresses safe loading, unloading, and basic malfunction recognition and clearance concepts.
Live-fire range exercises are conducted under close instructor supervision to reinforce safe handling, accuracy, and weapon control. Safety and adherence to established range procedures are emphasized at all times.
This course is suitable for new shooters or individuals seeking to establish or refresh foundational carbine skills. Successful completion provides a solid foundation for more advanced carbine or patrol rifle training.
